In 10: 2014

I won’t lie. I don’t really know how 2015 will beat this year.

1 – Bali

2 – Singapore
3 – Mount Kilimanjaro for AICR
4 – Safari
5 – Bath
6 – Birthday whale watching
7 – Mount Douglas
8 – Thanksgiving in the Rockies
9 – Salmon run at Goldstream Provincial Park
10 – California reading break
The fact I had so much trouble choosing just ten photos to summarise this year is testament to how incredible it has been.
I visited four continents. I slept under an open roof in a jungle, had breakfast on a volcano, visited ancient temples. I saw free roaming orangutans, explored an artificial cloud forest, drank cocktails at the top of a skyscraper shaped like a ship. I volunteered at a therapeutic riding centre. I raised over £3000 for charity. I climbed to the roof of Africa. saw the start of the Serengeti migration and a pride of wild lions. I snorkeled with regal blue tangs and drank slightly too much on a traditional West African sailboat. I visited roman baths and I went Back to the Future. I moved to Canada, saw a pod of orcas, explored beautiful British Columbia, visited the Rockies, and saw a salmon run. I escaped to the beach, went on a sea safari, visited a redwood grove, and last but not least, got soaked in Vancouver.

This year has undoubtedly been the best year I’ve ever had. I challenged myself so much and I’ve been rewarded with some incredible experiences and learnt so much about myself too. 2015 is looking a lot lighter in terms of travel (and cheaper!) but after this whirlwind of a year, I’m looking forward to relaxing a little bit!
